Field Sales Representative – South Orange County

The Sales Representative for Southern Orange County is responsible for developing and managing distributor accounts while growing the volume and visibility of Pure Project products.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on the increasing market share of seasonal and core beers through existing account base and new accounts.
  • Provide new and existing accounts with information about product sell-in, brand, quality, package, placement, presentation, new account openings, and key contacts.
  • Assist all accounts, including wholesale,with proper inventory management and quality standards.
  • Work with existing accounts on a self-designated schedule (i.e., weekly, biweekly, monthly) basis, with the goal of increasing package distribution on and off-premise and increasing draft presence in each market.
  • Identify new markets that are not being penetrated and develop plans to establish business relationships with accounts in these areas.
  • Must identify prospective customers by using business directories, web search, Untapp’d, references from active accounts, leads from customers, networking etc.
  • Make frequent sales calls to potential on and off-premise accounts within assigned territory.
  • Make a minimum of 60 account visits per week to existing on and off-premise accounts to build a closer relationship between the account and Pure Project
  • Maintain all sales goals and budgets.
  • Manage the invoicing of orders and working with Logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Preparing sales reports, keeping sales records, and filling out expense reports.
  • Completely understand and embrace brewery brands and culture, and deliver on our mission to the wholesale and retail customer.
  • Create new procedures and SOP’s related to new market/product launches and promotional events.
  • Plan events based on our promotional calendar and promotional events with key retailers geared towards building sales and distribution.
  • Attend off-site events and pour at off-site beer festivals.
  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point of sale items to increase the visibility of the brand.
  • Complete all required logs, paperwork, and forms to document sales and/or expenses.
  • Forecast seasonal brand execution and track results.
  • Open new accounts through networking and other measures.
  • As needed, deliver products to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 2 years of experience as a Craft Beer Sales Representative or similar role preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency with Google Workspace apps (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive), video conference/chat applications (e.g. Google Meet, Zoom, etc.), and other common office applications.
  • Experience with Ekos or comparable brewery production & inventory management software is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM / account management software preferred.
  • Have a reliable transportation vehicle and a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
