Women’s History Month: Cheers to the Women of Pure

It’s Women’s History Month, and International Women’s Day is just around the corner! In honor of this special month and day, we want to acknowledge the amazing women that help steer the ship at Pure Project. Behind all aspects of the company—from brewing the beer and taproom hospitality to behind-the-scenes operations and more—there are many extremely talented, caring, and dedicated women that make it all possible. Without them, Pure Project would not be what it is today.

Happy Women’s Month and International Women’s Day to women everywhere, and a special thank you to the women of Pure for being a huge inspiration everyday.

 

WOMEN’S BREW DAY

P.S. The women of Pure are gathering on International Women’s Day to create an exclusive brew. The beer is named after the first woman ruler in history, Kubaba, who was also a bartender and brewer before being crowned! This draft-only hoppy lager will be on tap at all locations next month—keep an eye on your local tap list.

KIRA BOUCHARD, DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALITY 

Meet Kira, Pure Project’s Director of Hospitality. Kira works with our taproom managers to build our spaces and ensure they are warm, inviting, and comfortable for all guests. No matter which of the five taprooms you visit, it will always give you that familiar Pure Project feel and friendly service thanks to Kira and her team. 

Pure’s beertenders are the heartbeat of our taprooms, so be sure to get to know them, visit often and enjoy the attention to detail they strive for.

Current Favorite Pure Beer: “Rain or Tropical Mist during the week. They are lower ABV, refreshing, and rewarding after a day’s work. Rove on the weekend for hiking summit beers, and a Pure West to cool down my hands after climbing or to keep me relaxed while kayaking!”

 

JULIANA MARQUES BROWN, HR MANAGER

Meet Juliana, or Ju, our HR manager here at Pure. As the HR Manager, Ju helps onboard employees, develop leadership within teams, and makes sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Juliana is full of light and we’re grateful to have her on team Pure!

Current Favorite Pure Beer: “Tropical Mist is my day-drinking beer, I love how light and tasty it is. And as a wine and sour lover, Tao is right up my alley—the balance of flavors in this beer is amazing!”

 

demetra hamill, lead brewer

Meet Demetra, the lead brewer at our Vista facility. Demetra strives to ensure that the best quality beer is produced each and every day. She spends most of her days on the brew deck producing wort, but also supports the team with everything from packaging to quality control.

Current Favorite Pure Beer: “My current favorite draft beer is NZed 101, which is part of the Bract brewing collaboration. It’s a dank citrusy pale ale, with some notes of white wine. It is super drinkable and refreshing at 5% ABV.”
