WIND IN THE WILLOWS

A nod to ales that have been enjoyed in English pubs over the centuries, Wind in the Willows is a pub ale brewed with a base of English malts including Thomas Fawcett’s Heirloom Golden Promise and a touch of Simpsons Double Roasted Crystal. It features a pound per barrel of UK East Kent Golding whole leaf hops in the whirlpool, and is fermented with Timothy Taylor’s award-winning “Landlord” yeast (an English pale ale that has won more awards than any other beer). Copper in color with a lacey white head, this beer imparts scents of caramelized pear and toffee that give way to flavors of cara cara orange, Earl Grey tea, and biscuits. Best consumed at cellar temperature to get the full flavor of the beer, a pint of this one will sweep you off your feet and into a traditional English pub (you can almost taste the fish ‘n’ chips!).
On Friday, February 26th, our Balboa Park and Carlsbad taprooms will be open 11am-10pm and our Miramar taproom will be open 2pm-10pm.
