FROZEN IN TIME
Double Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

Our very first double bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout—and the oldest non-sour beer we’ve ever released—Frozen in Time has been “in stasis” since June 2019, long before we knew what 2020 would bring. It rested in Breckenridge bourbon barrels for 10 months before being transferred into different Breckenridge bourbon barrels for another 8 months. Reflecting the pitch-black darkness of the barrels from which it emerged, this beer emanates a jet-black color with dark brown head. Long awaited aromas of marzipan, cinnamon and dates waft alongside flavors of bourbon, chocolate, and coffee. A glimpse of yesteryear preserved in a bottle, this well-balanced beer exposes a depth of character that only time—and the finest bourbon barrels—can illuminate.

NIGHT ON GHOST MOUNTAIN

Mead Inspired Ale with Marionberries

Let’s rewind to those times when our head brewer, Winslow, and his buddy Billy (from Lost Cause Meadery) wandered the “Ghost Mountain” above Santa Cruz, picking more wild blackberries than they could’ve hoped to carry. Fast forward to the present and we give you a berry-filled braggot collaboration with Lost Cause that pays homage to meads of old. Featuring an implausible amount of organic marionberries, black currants, and blackberry honey, the beer portion of this braggot is built on 100% oats, creating a silky base for the fruit flavors to bloom. The berries and honey were added during fermentation and then again, a year later, after being aged in Portuguese port barrels. Deep burgundy in color and served still, this brew delivers flavors of jammy berries, rose petals, and oak tannins that are sure to transcend your senses and haunt your palate long after your last sip.
