Paddle for Clean Water
We’re excited to participate in Surfrider Foundation San Diego’s annual Paddle for Clean Water: a 28 year tradition to raise awareness about their ongoing battle for clean water and a healthy coastline.
From Surfrider about the event:
“Our signature awareness event, the Paddle for Clean Water, is the largest non-competitive surf event in California. Each year, hundreds of participants paddle their surfboards, SUPs, kayaks and other paddle craft around the 1,971 ft. pier – the longest concrete pier on the West Coast – to raise awareness and funds to protect clean water and healthy beaches in San Diego County. Together, we bring awareness to the community about the threats to clean water and the solutions our chapter is putting in place to address them. The Paddle for Clean Water is a free, family-friendly event. We encourage the entire surf & paddling community to join us in this momentous paddle, and we encourage everyone who loves the beach to come out, support, fundraise, and have fun at this awesome community event. San Diego’s beaches are ours to enjoy, and ours to protect!”
When: Sunday, October 6th, 9am – 1:30pm
Where: Ocean Beach Pier
Look out for the Pure Project tent! As a thank you to everyone for coming out in support of a cleaner ocean and coastline, we will be handing out vouchers good for $2 pints back at either tasting room location. These vouchers will be good for the day only.
We hope to see you at the beach!
